Nonni's Baby Ball, by dKinley designs, is an interesting fabric ball created with twelve individually stuffed sections....
This was a relatively simple pattern which fit together well. It allows for great creative variety. The diaper cover is well fitted nor like puffy bloomers and therefor perfect for the streamlined little dress.
Very nice easy sew
I have made this dress 3 times now and it is so cute. I don't have the right kind of pressure foot to make the covered cording but I have sandwiched rickrack in between the layers and made the ruffle version. The instructions are a bit confusing or incomplete when it comes to putting in the velcro. I always end up with a lot of extra fabric in the back and I'm not quite sure how to deal with the volume so I ended up taking a lot of the extra out when I sewed the middle back seam. If making this for a very young child to dress and undress themselves, I would probably put velcro down the whole backside. The bloomers could be a little longer IMO, I don't like to be able to see the fabric part of Bitty's body poking out above her legs. Overall I love the faux wrap look of this dress and the bodice fit is really nice, especially on the newer bitties.
