Fist off I must say I wish it was purchasable through ravelry or Etsy as I don’t like purchasing from individual sites- but it did work and came through appropriately. Second, the pattern itself is better than any other pattern for Harry Potter doll sweaters and is only v-neck I could find which was great. It also fits build a bears. The one thing I did have to do is adjust pattern as it made the back bigger than the front which was strange and had to reduce the pattern by about 6 stitches to start and had to modify the length and arm size as well. As long as you are experienced you will figure out how to modify for specific doll - but I would suggest making one up first. Good news is I got about 3 sweaters per skein of yarn which was great.
Wanted to have a sweater vest that matches the tartan button-up shirt I had done for my AG boy doll. Came out a bit too wide though. Think I need to do it again with some minor adjustments. I consider myself an experienced knitter and instructions where sometimes not 100 % clear to me, so recommend pattern for advanced beginners or intermediate knitters only. All in all a nice pattern for sweater or sweater vest, especially if you want to recreate the HP look.
I found the neckline difficult to follow. Since I am an experienced knitter I completed the neckline using my own technique. Overall, a great pattern and easy to follow, aside from the neck finishing instructions. YouTube has great instructions for v neck knitting.
The pattern directions are very clear. I used the needles suggested and all the measurements. Even though I had never done a neckline like this it turned out well. Think my granddaughter will be pleased with Hogwarts School uniforms for her Am.Girl doll family.
Generally good but I had to make an adjustment by adding an additional slip stitch on one side of V to keep pattern correct. Otherwise a pleasure to knit.
