Sleepover PJ 15" and 18" Doll Clothes Pattern

15 reviews   |

All American Girls love cute pajamas. And the Sleepover PJ PDF Pattern by Jelly Bean Soup Designs will be sure to make your American Girl a super cute pair to wear to her next sleepover!  This pair of pajamas feature cropped or long pants and a raglan sleeve top. The top will easily work for the Bitty Baby dolls.  Easy and fun to make fringe and an easy bias binding complete the look.
For Bitty Baby Twin Boy choose different fabric. Just eliminate the fringe.  Since the baby dolls have a different shaped bottom half, a second pants pattern is included to fit them.

Supplies Needed:
-1/3 yd for pants, sleeves and bias edge
-1/3 yd of coordinating fabric for top and fluffy fringe
*** For Fringe- Choose a fabric that is the same on front and back such as seersucker or homespun. Plain cotton does not fringe well, so it is important to choose a fabric that looks the same on both sides and is slightly loose woven.
-12 inches of 1/4 inch elastic. (11 inches for Baby doll)
-Rotary cutter, ruler and mat
-Stiff brush to fringe fabric
-3 small buttons and matching thread
-3 inches of hook and loop tape

scale marker is off

Even when printing this from adobe reader, with "actual size" checked, the 1" scale marker is short by about 1/16th of an inch. Which doesn't sound like much, except over a few inches, that adds up to practically a seam width. Other Pixie Faire patterns printed with the same exact settings do produce a true to scale 1" marker. So be a little generous in your cutting, and a little scant in your seams.

Please be sure that you are printing all of our patterns at "Actual Size" or "100%. You can check the scale of the pattern on the pattern pieces pages, using the inch marker. If the marker measures an inch, the scale is correct.

Really cute pattern!

This pattern was very easy to work with - I added a little more length (3/4"- could've probably gone an 1") for the AG version and used purchased trim instead of making the ruffles, and it is absolutely adorable! I did find I didn't need as much elastic as it called for - I cut down the elastic by 2" for both AG and Bitty Baby and then the waists turned out great. Very easy pattern to sew and is super cute!
