Embraced in the 1940s, 50s, the 70s, the 90s, the early 2000s and again now as bohemian, It reigns supreme in warm seasons.

This wonderfully feminine style was born of simplicity and hearts that needed little excuse for celebration. Narrow lengths of ribbon and lace of many colors made each one unique. Folklorico Baile is a style of dance that was created from cultural dance moves and regional influences unique to each area of Mexico and Latin America. Children and adults perform wearing culturally styled attire. This design is an authentic representation for 18" dolls.

The instructions look easy to follow.
I found this pattern to be clear and easy to follow. I had to read the instructions carefully, but the construction was interesting and fun to sew. I love all of the different options for ways to assemble these pattern pieces that the designer describes. Several shirt and skirt variations, as well as half a dozen different ways to put together the dress itself for different looks, are included. It makes this pattern an excellent value!!
You can be very basic or creative with this pattern, it was easy to understand and use. I am making it as blouses to go with a Pirate/ ***** Cosatume. Working wonderfully. The directions do take a lot of paper and colored ink, they could be simplified.
This pattern made a lovely dress. I had a good experience using it. The only puzzlement was just how many folds and connections I needed for the skirt ruffle. What could have been a confusing neckline was well explained and turned out very nice. Thank you, Dollhouse Designs! I will make twirly skirts for my other two "girls," too.
Nicely put together, easy to follow and the fit is great. The neck elastic was a bit tricky, make sure it lays where you want it before you tack it down. The blouse is wonderful!
