This jumpsuit is suitable for 14”-14.5” dolls such as Wellie Wishers, Hearts 4 Hearts, Glitter Girls, etc.
1970s jumpsuits were the ultimate in effortless style. Whether it was for general day to day wear or a dazzling disco outfit, jumpsuits were everywhere. Worn by the likes of David Bowie, Diana Ross, Farrah Fawcett or the everyday person, this outfit was a staple in most wardrobes.
With this Intermediate PDF sewing pattern, you will be using skills such as gathering, easing-in sleeves, concealed zipper as well as optional hand-finished hems.
This lovely fitted jumpsuit has high waisted flared trousers and double layer sleeves. A slight V-neck with a gathered empire line midriff bodice creates an eye-catching neckline. There are darts in the back to create shaping and it is finished in the back with a concealed zipper.
Bonus options to create a sleeveless bodice, single layer sleeves instead of the double and a cropped above the knee trouser length. Feel free to mix and match the pattern to create your own unique garment.
Recommended Fabrics: Lightweight woven fabric such as cotton. Fabrics with a slight drape would work better with this design. Although you could use any fabric you want, feel free to experiment.
