An ingenious way of making a hoodie that fits well, but doesn’t require an open back.
I've made many of Doll Joy's patterns, and they always deliver edgy, miniature doll creations. I am so impressed with how realistic the outfits look. GD wants me to make one for her now, in her size! Pattern is easy to follow with lots of designer tips. The hardest part was choosing which option to do first, and picking fabrics. I chose Option 2, using one of those Gildan T-shirts from Joanns. I made self-fabric bindings. I didn't have cording so I used a technique I learned during my Covid mask making days. Cut a 1" cross-grain strip of knit t-shirt fabric ( I cut my strip the width of the t-shirt). Pull the ends of the strip and the strip will stretch and curl into a very narrow cord. Now you can have matching, or contrast cording to go with your projects. I threaded my cording through the casings using a tapestry needle. I used metal eyelets instead of sewn eyelets on my casings.
