Dressed for Tea 18" Doll Clothes

6 reviews   |

This beautiful dress, by Little Miss Muffett, is based on one of the most recognized costumes of the popular image for the character from Alice in Wonderland. This simple blue dress with a round collar has gathered sleeves edged in lace and trimmed with ribbon and bows; pretty embroidered hearts between satin stripes above, and lace on the edge, adorn the hem. The apron is edged in ruffled lace and the pocket edge continues the embroidered heart theme. The petticoat is a glorious creation of voile, lace, ribbon and bows; while the bloomers sport ribbon bows at leg side and are also edged in ribbon and lace. And last but not least, a black satin hair ribbon completes this beautiful ensemble in this PDF pattern making it a wonderful addition to any 18” girl’s wardrobe.

Recommended Fabrics:  Cotton has been used for the Bloomers, Dress and Apron; Voile has been used for the Petticoats and Skirt Lining of the Dress. Voile is preferred for the petticoats and dress skirt lining as it is not as stiff as organza, but is crisper than chiffon and gives the petticoats and dress skirt the body it needs. It is also very thin, that even when gathered, eliminates the bulkiness at the waist.
