This pattern is wonderful, just what I was looking for! A straight A line dress with an empire waist, and long flared sleeve! This pattern is perfect for making holiday dresses! You can use other materials rather than just velveteen to make this dress as well. I did a fancy brocade, a stretch lace, and a lace overlay. I love this pattern! (I asked about the skirt lining, there isn't supposed to be any lining on the skirt in case anyone else wonders about that.) I have made three dresses with this pattern so far, and it has become one of my favourites. :)
Simple to dress up or down. This pattens frees a person to go wild with ideas. Love it.
Loved it. perfect fit. can dress UP or Down. Will use it over and over. Thinking about adding extra length to make it floor length.
The first one I did was not good as the directions don't tell you what to do with the skirt lining. Figured it out by myself and the next three turned out good!
