T-Shirt reinvented

This was another very easy to use pattern , with fantastic end result . I omitted the sleeves and added rubbed ' binding ' and a ribbed hen , then material and ribbing I used was from a child's cotton knit cardigan .

Great T-shirt pattern

I was so impressed with this pattern. It was simple and easy to follow. My granddaughter is going to love it, once I get a chance to visit. Who knows, she might even get more than one.

Love this little 'T' as there is so much you can do with it. As I was making it for a BOY doll in one version I added ½" wide ribbing (cut as 1") to its jewel (round) neckline and did the same for the sleeve hemline plus added an iron-on decal to its front (using iron-on transfer paper and the computer) . The second version I made it into a V-neck with more ribbing and again added it on the sleeve and included a chest pocket this time ... on the left side. As for the third; I lengthened the sleeves to approximately the elbow (about 1 ¾") , left the neckline as is but created a facing for it using the same fabric cut on the bias. Please note also, I slightly lengthened the front and back since it was for a BOY and extended the side seam allowances just a tad starting (slightly below the sleeve seam allowance, more or less through the waist/hip) ) so it wouldn't be quite as fitted. For an added tip; for those printing instructions sheets off and would like to save paper and ink; you might wish to consider printing on the back of each sheet (most printers offer that option) and/or do it in a ' coloured draft' format. To secure the pages, use your hole punch in all sheets and use a 'round head fastener' (two-prong paper brad) to secure them together. As for the pattern pieces themselves; I usually retain one copy and secure it to the instructions. To conclude; IMHO the pattern pieces are very well sized and for the novice sewer the instructions are very thorough.
