This pattern, from My Sunshine Dolls, includes full color photographs and step-by-step directions to make a 23" cloth doll with paper fan. Doll has a removable dress with a zipper closure in the back. Dress will also fit 18" dolls such as American Girl®. Doll can be made from cotton, hair and shoes from felt. The dress can be made from silk, brocade, or cotton. The fan is made using 2 pieces of origami paper or other paper cut to 8" x 8". This pattern is the first in a series of International Dolls celebrating different cultures around the world. These dolls make great gifts for children and adults alike.

- 1 fat quarter in skin color for face, body, legs and arms
- ¼ yd of fabric for dress
- 1 piece of felt for hair front and back
- 1 scrap piece of felt for flower and shoes
- 1 scrap piece of felt for mouth
- 1 package of single fold bias tape in coordinating color
- Small cording for Chinese button closure on dress
- 7” zipper in coordinating color
- Fabric marker
- Stuffing
- Thread
- Embroidery thread
- Sewing needle
- Doll needle (3 ½” to 4” long)
- 2- 1” buttons
- Pins
- Seam ripper
- Zipper foot
- 2 pieces of origami paper for fan
- 2 wooden popsicle sticks
