I consider myself pretty experienced sewing, this was a little difficult. At first I didn't understand some of the steps and the pictures for me weren't clear. But I figured it out and it was worth it all. I usually don't iron press, but this one I felt I needed to and I'm glad I did. In the end I enjoyed the challenge!
If you love lots of details in your garments, this pattern is for you. I used over 4 yards of lace, which meant a lot of measuring. The bodice lining did not want to fit smoothly, but after a bit of a struggle, I got it fixed. Generally, I was pretty happy with how the dress turned out.
Absolutely love this pattern and it turned out so sweet. Thank you again for a really enjoyable pattern
I found the shoulders need wider and the sleeves bigger in the arms. The dress is pretty but I wonder if the seams need to be topped stitched. May try it to see how it looks.
All the wow factor of this dress is in the details. Because of those details, it does take a while to make this dress. It took me at least 8 hours from cutting to final Velcro.
