A Mother's Love Dolls from My Sunshine Dolls.

Pattern includes clear, step by step written directions and photos for each step. It includes a pattern to make a 23-inch cloth doll with sewn on underwear, two variations of hairstyles and two outfits.

Outfit A includes a 3/4 sleeve dress with bias trim and hook and loop closure in the back, and tie front shoes.

Outfit B includes a 3/4 sleeve top with bottom ruffles and hook and loop closure in the back, pants with front pockets and an elastic waist, and strappy shoes.

The pattern also includes a 9 inch infant doll and one-piece sleeper outfit with hat, along with an infant carrier to carry the baby around.

 

Recommended Fabrics:  Cotton, knit, felt, denim

Supplies Needed:

Doll

  • 1 fat quarter in skin color for face, body, legs and arms
  • 1 scrap fabric for underwear
  • 1 piece of felt for hair
  • 1 small piece of felt for glasses
  • Chunky yarn for pigtails/buns
  • 1 scrap piece of felt for mouth
  • Fabric marker
  • Stuffing
  • Thread
  • Embroidery thread
  • Sewing needle
  • Doll needle (3 ½” to 4” long)


Baby and Carrier

  • Small piece of fabric in skin color for baby
  • 1 scrap piece of felt for mouth
  • Fabric marker
  • Stuffing
  • Thread
  • Embroidery thread
  • Sewing needle
  • Doll needle (3 ½” to 4” long)
  • Small piece of knit fabric for onesie
  • Small piece of coordinating knit fabric for hat/sleeper neck binding
  • Small piece of fabric for baby carrier
  • 44” of ⅜” ribbon for carrier straps
  • Small piece of ½” hook and loop tape for carrier


Outfit A

  • Fat quarter of fabric for dress
  • Small piece of fabric for dress lining
  • Single fold bias tape
  • 2 small buttons
  • Thread
  • Small piece of felt for shoes
  • 28” of ⅜” ribbon for shoe ties
  • 4” of ½” hook and loop tape


Outfit B

  • 1 fat quarter for top
  • Small piece of fabric for lining
  • 4 ½” of 2-3” wide lace for top middle
  • 60” of ⅝” lace trim for ruffles and sleeves
  • 4” of ½” hook and loop tape for top
  • Fat quarter of fabric for pants
  • 9” of ½” elastic for pants waist
  • Small piece of felt for shoes
  • Thread
  • Embroidery thread for shoes
