A gauge is included in this pattern. But for this pattern gauge does not matter too much because you aren't making something that needs to fit someone. If you check the gauge, this Teddy Bear will be about 8" tall in the sitting down position. He can stand up or sit down depending on how you sew his legs to his body. If you would like a smaller bear, use a smaller weight yarn and hook. If you would like a larger bear, use a larger weight yarn and hook. The trick is to crochet tight and use a small enough hook that the stuffing does not show through the crochet fabric.
