Marigold is an ear flap hat designed to fit 18” dolls with a head circumference of approximately 12 1/4". There are two versions to choose from in this PDF pattern. Both are worked in the round in fingering weight wool and have I-cord ties with little pom poms sewn to the ends. The yellow version features a slip stitch pattern around the body with a plump pom pom to top it off. The white version is worked in stockinette stitch and embellished with your favorite flower, whether it be fabric, felt, knit, crocheted or embroidered.
Supplies Needed: -1 ball of Knit Picks Palette ~ 100% Peruvian Highland Wool; Fingering weight (231 yards per ball) in either the Safflower or White colorway, depending on which version you make (or suitable substitute yarn)
-Set of double pointed needles in size US 2 (2.75mm) (or size needed to obtain gauge)
-Stitch markers
-A darning needle for weaving in ends
Skill Level: Easy - uses basic stitches and simple shaping and finishing.
