This pattern fits very well, and I like that it tells you how to adjust seam allowances for a looser or tighter fit. There are some tricky curved seams, but overall it's not too difficult for someone with intermediate or even confident beginner skills. I definitely plan to use this pattern again in the future!
First time making this little blazer, and I love it! It’s fairly easy, as jackets go, and yet looks very professional when finished. (Don’t let the idea of a “lining” scare you … it just makes the inside of a jacket look finished, and is not hard to do!). I bought this specifically for a patchwork sew along in the SWC classes, but will definitely be making it again … already eyeing the perfect fine wale corduroy to try! I loved how the jacket fit (even in my bulky denim patchwork fabric!) … some jackets are very fitted, and only fit over a thin t-shirt, but this one has a more comfortable fit, without being too big.
I made this jacket out of a tone on tone brocade and it turned out amazing! Beautiful dressy blazer! Would be cute in a light weight denim too for a casual look.
This pattern turns out adorable!! There are quite a few pieces and I wouldn't recommend it for a beginner, but it is worth the time. The size is great too. I was able to easily fit a long sleeved t-shirt on underneath the jacket no problem. I will definitely be making more of these!
Such a cute blazer for the doll. Not sure a 9 year old appreciates the details on it, but adults would definitely notice.
