Create a historical panel dress from the 40's with this PDF pattern. The dress is lined (with the exception of the sleeves) and the back closes down the back with 5 snaps (if desired, it can also be closed up with hook and loop tape) and bias cut ties. It is made up of 5 panels in the front and four in the back to create a fitted look up top and a flared look at the bottom. This dress has a high yoke and square cut neckline. The neckline, hemline, and sleeve bands may be embellished with lace. Two tiny buttons are sewn onto the center front yoke of the dress.
Recommended Fabrics: cotton, linen, cotton blends (not suitable for knits)
Skill Level: This pattern is intermediate because of the curved seams and the hand sewing involved.

It turned out beautiful. I loved it.
I had difficulty with this pattern. Sewing the outer portion and lining was easy, but when you go to see the two together, everything gets messed up. I have seen other historical doll gowns, including the colonial patterns without difficulty. Despite the pictures in the pattern, the instructions for drawing the lining in could be outlined more clearly. I won't try this pattern again.
très jolie modèle facile a réaliser très élégant et actuel un grand bravo et merci amicalement paulette
Pattern worked up beautifully and even fit my older Molly perfectly!
I made the dress and found it came together easy. However, I feel the chest and arms are a little tight and plan to increase the pattern a fourth of an inch next time I make it.
