The pattern is easy to follow with very clear instructions and diagrams. Even if you have never done any beading before you will be able to follow this pattern and the results are stunning. It's perfect for 18" dolls with cloth bodies as the finished necklace covers up the neck join, and the pattern is suitable for many other sizes of doll too, because you measure the doll's neck before starting the beading. The supplies are easy to get hold of in most craft or fabric stores and a new tube of size 11/0 glass seed beads will go a long way - I used some Miyuki seed beads I had leftover from another project and there are still plenty left. It is really worth using the recommended magnetic clasp - I used a lobster clasp as I didn't have any of the magnetic one on hand, and I was keen to start the project straight away. It's a lot harder to close the necklace on the doll if you use a standard clasp as the doll's necks are fairly short and there is not much room to see what you are doing with her hair in the way. The magnetic clasps are so simple to use and it will be better if you are giving the necklace to a child for her doll. I love this pattern. I'ld give this pattern ten stars if I could. :) Buy it, you won't be disappointed.
