Forties Fashion Dress 14.5-15" Doll Clothes Pattern

3 reviews   |

Keepers Dolly Duds is pleased to offer a sewing pattern for two very popular 1940's dress designs. With classic forties styling, these frocks have fully gathered knee-length skirts that dip at the front waistline.

View A features a front panel cut on the bias that enhances the look of simple plaids and checks. A slashed neckline is set off with a line of trim and matching bow that is echoed in the short puffed sleeves.

The bodice front panel on View B is overlaid with a Plastron, an ornamental front for a woman's bodice or shirt that became fashionable in the late 19th century. Short puffed sleeves gathered into a bands give it a feminine charm.

Both views open fully down the back and close with six small buttons (snaps or hook and loop tape can be used if preferred). Side ties cinch into a neat bow in the back to provide some adjustment for dolls with varying waistlines.

This PDF sewing pattern is designed to fit 14.5-15" dolls such as WellieWishers™ and Ruby Red Fashion Friends™.
