Forget-Me-Not is a springy, summery, feminine, ruffly dress for your 20" Maru and Friends® doll. It's all about the details. The short, puffed sleeves are trimmed with lace, and the lace trimmed collar is optional. The bodice is close fitting, and the back is finished with buttons sewn over snaps. The whimsical skirt is made up of three layers of ruffles that are gathered at both the top and bottom, creating endless volume. You can choose a different fabric print for each layer of ruffles, or make them all the same.
Recommended Fabrics: Lightweight cotton or cotton blend
Supplies Needed:
- 1/6 yard (6") fabric - bodice, bodice lining
- 1/4 yard contrasting fabric - top ruffle and connector
- 1/2 yard contrasting fabric - middle ruffle and connector, sleeves, collar
- 1/4 yard contrasting fabric - bottom ruffle and connector
- 16" of 1/4" - 1/2" flat lace trim for the sleeves
- 14" of 1/4" - 1/2" flat lace trim for the collar
- 3/4 yard of 1/2" - 3/4" wide ribbon for the belt (optional)
- 8" of 1/4" elastic, cut in half
- matching thread
- 2 small snaps
- 2 small buttons
