Mod Block Dress 18" Doll Clothes Pattern

3   |

The Mod Block Dress is a stylish concept from the 60's.  It's a style with many variations that continues to pop up in the fashion world. Block style dresses are often featured in trunk shows and worn by celebrities. Your 18 inch doll will be quite the eye catcher wearing this smart stylish dress!

The unique PDF pattern offers a fitted, fully lined dress with invisible zipper made in the same way as a full scale pattern is.

A simpler unlined version can be made with the included neck facing. Hem binding can be used for the hem and hook and loop tape could be used in place of the zipper.

Mod style

The pattern was easy to follow and looks good. It is a looser fit on my Journey girl than it looks on American Girl dolls. If I made it again I would make it a tighter fit for the Journey Girl doll. I chose a black fabric and a black and white op art pattern. It looks FAB.

Cute! Cute! Cute!

Style-perfect. Easy to construct. I used medium weight Ponte Roma in shocking pink and gray. This design is so suited for Julie! I love this pattern and will use it many times to create gifts for friends. Please continue to publish these quality patterns. Only problem I seem to have is locating tiny notions and "the right" fabrics. Would be awesome if you would include recommended sites to purchase these.
