Why "Any Which Way"? The answer is that this dress can be worn forwards or backwards if you prefer!
The Any Which Way Dress, by Genniewren Designs, features a fully lined, wrap style bodice; a shaped waistband; and a full, gathered skirt. It can even be made reversible, which adds further versatility to the dress options.
Making this simple, fun dress is an ideal way to use up scraps left over from dressmaking or from other craft projects and a great chance to experiment with different trims. It's the perfect
dress for a picnic in the park or for going to church on Sundays.
Maybe your doll could wear her Any Which Way Dress to the sock hop or when she meets up with all her friends at the ice cream parlor?
Whichever way your doll chooses to wear this 1950s inspired dress, she will be delighted with the style and fit. Once you've made one of these delightful dresses, you will definitely want to make more. Especially as you get two or more different looks from one simple pattern!
An added bonus is that this dress can be made with no hand sewing whatsoever!
The pattern includes instructions for hook and loop tape or snap fastenings at the waist, as well as measurements for narrower skirts if you prefer a less gathered look.

The pattern was fairly easy and written directions were good. My only suggestion would be to line the waistline pieces, as I felt they were a little too flimsy in the cotton fabric I used, considering it had a regular seam on the top and a gathered seam at the bottom. I think it would lay a bit better using interfacing.
What a breeze to sew! 4 dresses in one...love it!
This pattern is great. Very versatile. Came together pretty quickly. Already made 2!
The dress was really cute. The pattern was very easy to follow and it made for a nice sewing experience. Am now making a a second dress of different material. I hope my great granddaughters will have as much fun with the dresses as I have had making them.
Made this dress twice, but making it reversible confused me as far as the velcro was concerned...attached to both sides of waistband...only attach to one side, or use hook and eye or snaps added at end of pattern. A great concept...reversible dress can be worn four ways...my granddaughters will love this.
