Jane’s by Liberty Jane

I’ve made these shoes 3 times now. The first pair, a year ago, was my very first shoe experience, and while they’re quite a disaster close up (like ending up with two left foot shoes!), I still use them for photos because they happen to match everything, and I always get compliments on them. I followed the Sewing With Cinnamon video to make them, and it was a huge help! The second pair I made 6 months later I tried to follow the pattern instructions exactly as written, and they honestly ended up in the trash. Last week, I tried a third pair, again following the video step by step and including all the “enhancements” there, and they turned out great! I’ve made my own written instruction sheet to follow in the future (but would love to see the pattern updated to include all the helpful features in the videos!). Fit on the shoes is great, and they stay on the doll well, and I love this very unique, yet very recognizable design. This is one of the more time consuming shoe patterns I’ve tried, and not one I would recommend for beginners, but definitely a cute shoe that’s worth a little extra effort.

Janes are insane-ly cute

So fun to make. I loved the tutorial by Cinnamon. It helped immensely with hits and suggestions with how to sew and assemble the shoes.

I really like the pattern, but I think it is a little difficult when you sew the insole on the shoe. I had some problem with fit. Next time I will cover the insole first and then glue everything to the sole. Other than that very nice shoe! Will make again and again.

Have not used yet, but I have no doubts about ease of use. Thank you Pixie Faire for being there.
