Your 13-14 inch doll will be ready for summer fun, whether at the beach, the playground or with her friends in her cool and casual Popsicle Top.
The Popsicle Top is a simple, loose crop top that is easy to sew, and pairs perfectly with the Sixth Grade Skirt. You can make it reversible for double the looks! With a velcro closure in back, it's easy on and off for little hands. This pattern is also a perfect starter/beginner pattern for girls that want to learn to sew for their dolls, or for more experienced seamstresses to make a basic, casual doll wardrobe with lots of options.
This classic but simple tank top is very easily made from a quarter yard of fabric (quilter's fat quarters work great!) in a woven cotton or other lightweight fabric. Mix and match your fabrics and trims for unlimited design options.
Special Note: This PDF sewing pattern was specifically designed and tested on 14 inch dolls such as HeartsForHearts and Les Cheries. Not all dolls, even of the same brand, are exactly the same size. Be sure to measure your Sixth Grade Skirt on your own doll to ensure a perfect fit. My dolls have a waist measurement average of 5 ½ to 6 ¼ inches.
Recommended Fabrics: quilter's cotton, lightweight cotton, eyelet, seersucker etc.
-1/4 yard of cotton, or other lightweight fabric (with small dolls, lighter is better)
-7-8 inches of lace or trim (trim should be reversible if making a reversible top)
-2-3 inches of velcro

I've found that this little Popsicle Top by OhSewKat is a staple of all my dolls' wardrobes - AG, WellieWishers, LesCheries and Animators. It super simple to make - by the time you make a couple, you can just wisk through them and make them in different colors. As a bonus, they are reversible, too, so you get two tops in each one. Gotta have this pattern...
This is the only the second item I've sewn for my H4H doll. I was happy to see such great results. I have this Popsicle Top pattern in other doll sizes and Oh Sew Kat did a great job of making this smaller size work. I love that it is reversible and give me two tops for every one I sew! Worth it for sure!!!!
