This darling cross body purse is the perfect accessory for every doll. You can achieve many different looks with the two options we have included. For more of an upscale look, the pleated pocket on the front flap is the answer. If you would like a simpler purse to add your own cute accents, choose view A. It's a blank canvas ready to embellish! The purse is fully lined and has a flat front slip pocket as well as a small interior slip pocket. Perfect for those tiny treasures! The construction is simple with just a few pattern pieces and simple box pleats to shape the corners of the bag. Cute but a little small.

This is a cute purse but almost too small to work with. It turned out well and was adorable for the doll.

Perfect Accessory!

I’m not usually big on making doll purses, but with back to school clothes on my mind, this one was a great completion to an outfit. All the details make this purse very realistic. While corduroy was suggested as a fabric, my fine wale corduroy was difficult to work with … I’d probably choose a quilting weight cotton for both the body and lining the next time. (I’ve never made the “people sized” purse for this pattern, but might like to try it, too!)

Adorable mini purse

I love this adorable doll-sized purse! It is just like the full-size purse but in miniature and is perfect on my 18" dolls. Now they have a Sew Powerful purse, too!

Great pattern

I just finished my first purse a couple of days ago. I really like the way it went together and the instructions were very clear. Looking forward to making many more for the Sew Powerful program.

A Little Tricky....But Cute!

I have sewn the big size sew powerful purse, and so I was expecting this to go together like that one. I was a bit disappointed that the directions were a bit different for the doll size. I felt the inner extra pocket was unnecessary, and made it a bit more difficult. I also had to change the way to make the strap because the method shewn just didn't work for me due to the tiny size. I will use the pattern again because I like the end result....it just took a few tries to get it right. Maybe this is just personal preference, but I felt the directions were a bit confusing in places, and the fabric you used for the example was hard to look at. A plain fabric would have been nicer to be able to see what stitches you were doing. I couldn't recommend this pattern for a beginner, but those with experience should be able to figure it out.
