Enrollment Open For The October Session!

What You Get When You Join The Sewing Camp Power Class:

We are incredibly excited to partner with Jennifer Serr the gifted designer behind the Bonjour Teaspoon brand to offer you a VERY unique “business-in-a-box” course, (meaning she tells you exactly how to do everything and gives you templates, tools, and resources).

We are calling the course Sewing Camp Power and it is a full 8-part video based course with a private Facebook group where Jennifer will personally coach you on your program.

This course will teach you how to start your own sewing camp program in your home town. Jennifer has grown her sewing camp business into a very successful venture over the last 8 years.

Of course, we can’t guarantee you will have any results. Each person's results will vary. But we were shocked when Jennifer told us that her students pay $410 per week to attend her camp – and that she has 7 weeks of summer camp (in addition to after school camps all school year long). In her summer camps, she has 20 students enrolled each week. (that’s almost $60,000).

We recently stopped by Jennifer’s shop near San Francisco and made this video:

    Teaching The Young to Sew

I took your course the first year it was offered and it was a huge help for me. What I wanted was some ideas on how to actually teach children to sew. Last summer I had Grandma's Sewing Lessons for my two granddaughters who are cousins ages 8 and 9. Jennifer gave me some great advice on what kind of sewing machine to buy them. I decided on the Janome Hello Kitty mint green for each of them. The girls had the best time and were very good about following directions. Since then, they both have made a few things. Whenever they have time from their sports and school activities, sewing is their favorite activity. I do want to thank Jennifer for both her advice and hints on teaching children to sew. It is very important that we pass along these wonderful skills to the young.

    Sewing Camp Power

I enjoyed this Course and Jennifer's Videos. She was always there to answer any questions we may have. If she didn't have an answer she went back and found it. I printed off all her material and then went back and read through the plans and ideas she was sharing with us. Extreme valuable information. I applied what would work for my situation. I really wanted to work with a few girls or boys at a time with disabilities that wanted to learn to sew. Jennifer gave me the confidence to push forward with that. I worked on a plan and I had success. I feel this course was worth my time taking. I know if I had more questions I could go to Jennifer at anytime.

Sewing Camp Power: Packed with knowledge, Powered with Confidence

Your sewing camp video and supplementary documents have been incredibly valuable this past year as I have tweaked my program a bit from just teaching sewing to a more fashion-based sewing program. I really admire your work and am truly grateful for your generosity in offering Sewing Camp Power. You have helped me to gain confidence and attract a group of teen and tween girls who really want to learn to make clothes. Whereas before it was mostly younger kids making cute stuff- which is fun too but not what I really wanted. I have signed a lease on a small storefront space and will be moving my studio in August. It is super exciting to be able to sell a bit of fabric, patterns and supplies as well as have more classroom space. Thank you again, Jennifer.

    Sewing Camp Power

I have only looked at the first few lessons and am a little disappointed so far. As a Canadian, I paid $270.71 for the course with the exchange rate and the lesson videos so far have been powerpoint type slides with someone reading the supporting notes. I've taken quite a few of the Pixie Faire courses (Pattern Academy and Craft Business Academy) and have been really pleased. I'm hoping that by the end of the program, there is more depth to the information and more graphics, pictures or video to the presentation.
