The Liberty Jane® Clothing Tokyo Libby: Steam outfit was part of the Fall 2013 International Collection, this original outfit was sold at auction as a One Of A Kind original design. Now you can make this steampunk inspired outfit for your 18 inch American Girl® Doll!
Pattern includes both the Jacket and the Skirt. (Bib Top Pattern is available in a separate listing for just $4.99)
The jacket pictured is made in a soft faux leather. Suggested fabrics also include ultra suede, faux suede, denim or twill. Buttons or studs add a nice detail to the fold back front. If you can’t find studs, a shank button will also work nicely.
This darling skirt with the high low hemline has a removable bustle and lace peeking out from the hemline and ruffles. The front of the skirt is shaped with inverted pleats while the back is gathered to give it just the right amount of volume. Suggested fabrics include taffeta or satin. If you can’t find a tiny lightweight lace trim, lace hem tape will also work nicely.

I love this outfit! I have admired it for years. I finally purchased it and made it! Love Love Love it! It looked intimidating but was much easier than I expected it to be.
It is well planned and easy to follow the directions and it stitches out well.
You have 2 different backs in the self fabric; one with princess seams and the other plain you show them both in the cutting layout but NOT in the pieces cut? You never mention in the directions what I am to do with this extra back piece. Please explain. I will be making it this week in real lambskin leather, but I am baffled about this extra piece..........for this I give you 2 stars I am sure once I make it I will love and and make several more in leather too, perhaps in ultra suede also.
I collected all the AG patterns as they became available and altered them on my own. Suddenly everything is so much easier, thanks to Pixie Faire's variety of patterns. Can't wait to try the Steam Jacket and Skirt Bundle. My "altering" days are over!!!
Just finished making jacket; really great design and pattern is easy to follow. It took a bit of time to finish but nothing was too difficult and it came out perfect.
