This is the first crocheted dress I have made. It had been years since I had tried any thing this small. The directions were very clear and I made the dress in two days. The yarn I used was thicker than what it called for but I kept changing hooks until I got the right gauge. Thank you for adding the gauge with the pattern because it fit my Molly perfect. I found a smaller yarn that was thinner and perfect for trimming it. It all came together just perfect. I am so proud of my first dress. Thanks so much for the details enclosed with ever step. It was an Intermediate pattern and at first I thought I bit off more than I could chew but I didn't, thanks to the very clear directions.
I made the dress, but it was too big for my doll. I have since contacted the seller and am waiting for advice.
Three attempts at knotting as per instructions but front was always longer than back. Eliminated 10 rows which made the two pieces match ALMOST perfectly. If this were a child's sweater, I would be very upset but as this is small and for a doll, with the correction, I was able to finish both within a week. Please check this pattern.
The pattern is easy to follow and the dress is very cute. Since it is worked from the top down, it is very easy to make this any length that you'd like. It would make a very nice crocheted top.
I have been working on this dress off and on for awhile now. Everything about the pattern has been easy to follow and is turning out beautifully. I have used baby yarn as I crochet a bit tight but will try it in fingering/sock yarn on my next try. Either way I loved this pattern and have ordered more from this designer.
