I’d love to see patterns with really detailed explanations about sewing with Fold Over Elastic on knits. I’m just so insecure about trying this every single time. I’ve made a few attempts but am never satisfied with my results. Start with wider side? Narrower side? Sew to front or back of fabric? What stitch to use and low long a stitch? I could widen my sewing choices and speed up my sewing if I just completely understood this process! Thank you for all the beautiful patterns you offer and I look forward to your Freebie Fridays every week without fail!! Thank you for your generosity!!

I would love to see a sewing course on sewing with leather. I have bought several lambskins for making shoes, jackets, coats, etc but haven’t cut anything out because I’m not sure how much to leave for seams, the correct needles size and thread for my machine, stitch length, types of glues. I guess I could find these, but it would be nice to have one course that included it all.

I would like a take off on the sloper idea – to incorporate things like the fact that doll heads are harder to slip clothes on/off, they need extra ease when they sit, arms are stiff and hands open and you have to get the clothes over them – many a perfect fitting sloper main body still needs a lot of fiddly adjustments…

I would love to see a sew along to become skilled with clean, professional looking closures, collars, cuffs, sleeve edges, hemming of garments, inside flaps, sleeve finishing, tricks to attach gathered edges so they are even/catching all fabric layers, and clean on the inside of the garment, dealing with fabrics that fray- especially because they are so small scale.
These skills and the knowledge would help everything I sew. Thank you!
