My New Years plan is to play Monopoly in between knitting an American Girl cardigan, no partying for us until the little ones get older! There’ll be lots of chocolate but just one G&T, followed by Auld Lang Syne with Jools Holland. Happy New Year Everybody.

My plans for the rest of today and the first are to un-clutter my bedroom/ sewing room where I put everything I didn’t know where to put so the house looked nice for Christmas friends and family. For the first time in five years we will not be going to our traditional dinner/play series we do with our good friends; very sad. but my daughter wins as the grandkids will be coming over. Was planning on games and snacks but now I am sick so they may be watching TV with grandpa! Hope this isn’t a preview of 2018! Hopefully I will be well to go for our walk on the beach tomorrow!

We always get together with all of the neighbours in our cul de sac in block party fashion to ring in the New Year. We play games and have appy’s and drink. It’s nice because everyone is within walking distance from home. All of our kids have grown up together on this block, so we often have get togethers. This year I think the dress code is pajamas. LOL! :)

My New Year’s Eve plans are to be at home with my husband where it’s warm. We’re under a Wind Chill Warning until tomorrow about noon. It’s supposed to be between -25 and -30 degrees below zero with potential frost bite within 10 minutes. Nope. Not for me. LOL

I’ve been working on snacks already this morning and have to go to the kitchen and work on the rest soon.

Setting goals to actually make the outfits I have been purchasing fabric and patterns for instead of just building a collection of craft bits. The goal i have set is to complete 2 items per month, either knitted or sewn, during the first half of the year. During the second half of the year the goal is to learn a new craft – the first one to be crochet – I can knit but am clueless on crochet.
