The 80s Style Pleated High Waisted Jeans pattern is based off the original high-waisted jeans with a few style and design additions. With this pattern you can create jeans in 3 styles as well as shorts.
Note: This is a new pattern listing, with two new styles of jeans included along with the original flat front High-Waisted Jeans.
Design Details:
• Full-length jeans with a loose-fitting leg, pleated front, cuffed accent, and fold-over waistband. The flattering high waist yoke design combined with real front & back pockets make these jeans a must-have for every fashionista! Add your own designer touches with contrast topstitching, back pocket stitch design, and button fly front fashioning. Front fly is functional, designed to be secured with thin hook and loop tape.
• The jeans can also be made as wide-leg shorts.
• The waistband can be regular or the fold-over style.
• The bonus pattern pieces for the wider leg pleated front and looser fitting back are both different than the original pattern published in 2014. All pattern pieces are included in this bundle.

Suggested Fabrics: Lightweight Denim (7oz), upcycled denim, corduroy, twill, stretch twill, stretch denim
Supplies Needed:
• 1/3 yard denim fabric (or fat quarter), stretch works great. Use upcycled jeans for an authentic look.
• Small piece of quilting cotton for contrast waistband and/or cuffs (5 x 15)
• Thread - matching or contrasting
• 1/4" wide elastic
• Tiny button or iron-on rivets
• Hook and loop tape
