I thoroughly enjoyed making this kilted outfit. As a tenor drummer with a local pipe band, I chose to use the tartan of my band. The hat pattern is from a vintage pattern, but the outfit is from this bundle. Enjoy.

Highland Dance vest & blouse

Excellent. The patterns were clear and the instructions good. The blouse turned out perfectly. The jacket turned out a bit small for the doll but that was probably more due to my lack of sewing experience than to the instructions. My only criticism would be the section on turning the vest right side out - a video would have helped wit that. I actually gave up on that and jerryrigged it ( which probably explains why the vest wasn’t a good fit) Overall, It was a good experience and I would definitely use the site again.

Girl's Highland Bundle

This bundle includes patterns for the Girl's Highland Jacket and Vest and Highland Blouse. All the instructions are easy to follow and understand. I found the fit to be excellent. The Highland Jacket and Vest pattern along with the Unisex Highland bundle will give your doll what she needs to have a complete Highland Dance outfit. The jacket has instructions to make either the vest or jacket to fit within the dance guidelines. The Highland Blouse has an option for either a jabot or a dickey type neckline. The separate dickey could be used by itself with the jacket instead of with a full blouse. The blouse is just lovely and fits very well. I would recommend it also as a modern girls blouse.

Girl's Highland Bundle

This is the pattern for the girl's outfit -- the jacket, vest, and blouse. You need to buy the "Unisex Highland Bundle" to get the kilt, socks and ghillies. Like the boy's version, the details on this are great. The instructions are well written and the fit is excellent. I have reviewed each of the individual patterns in the bundles, so please look there for detailed reviews.
