This is a nice simple sew. Great instructions that are easy to follow and the dress is super cute when finished. Accessory pack too.
I have not tried to make it yet. I am always pleased with my downloads from Pixie Faire.
If you like the older styles of clothes which I do this is a great pattern for you. I had the pleasure of testing this dress, and it was really fun to do. I love how the sleeves are done, with half of them being lined. There are so many ways to switch the look too with fabric choices, and use of trim or fancy stitches. I did this first one plain, but next time I will add some stitching to bring out the true sweetness of the dress. Be sure to pair it with the complementary pattern, 1800s Simple Stitches Heart Warmer & Snood. It is available separately.
One of the things I really enjoy about these patterns is learning different ways of doing the same thing. Facings, linings, hems, sleeves, gathering, turning. There is always something to learn! This pattern has options and the result is not only cute, but will stand up to a child’s sometimes rough play.
