Classy Dress

Really fun dress to make, and it turns out so cute! My only issue is, I'm not sure the markings for the pleats in the short skirt are in the right place. I've made the short version twice and both times I've struggled to get the pleats in the right place. I will keep using this pattern though because I love it!

So many possibilities

This was a fun pattern to put together since it's got a little different construction than I've done before. It makes a really classy formal dress, or it can be more casual depending on the fabric used. The pattern calls for fusible interfacing, but if you use regular fabric you don't need it. The pleat placement seems a little off to me, and I wish the neckline would lay a little flatter, but those issues are not going to stop me from making this pattern repeatedly.

5th Ave. Promenade--Fun, Fun, Fun to Make

Absolutely unique pattern. This pattern has a fantastic opening which allows a back detail I've never seen before. Although the pattern is described as "Intermediate", I found it a fairly easy sew because of the excellent instructions and well drawn pattern. It turned out really nicely. I made mine in the short version, with a black, mini polka-dot cotton fabric with mini red bows at the top of the pleats. Completely different look from the same pattern. This pattern really makes a one-of-a kind outfit. Oh, and great instructions for a side placket closing.
