Rainy Days Are Fun Days 18" Doll Clothes

7 reviews   |

Based on the fabulous coat worn by everyone’s favorite pirate, this gorgeous little hooded raincoatby Little Miss Muffett, has a few tricks of its own. Being totally reversible, from sleeve cuffs to belt, it also has reverse color-way pockets, secret inside pockets and the hood is generous for dolly hair. The cute Umbrella Sheath is also reversible. Made from pliable fabrics with a sheen, such as Chintz, wax-impregnated fabrics or Quilter’s Cotton, and with plenty of top-stitching together with a unique construction technique, this relatively easy PDF pattern creates an adorable and stylish little raincoat which every 18” girl should not be without. This pattern is designed to fit 18” soft-bodied dolls such as American Girl ®.

Make a matching coat for little sister with the Rainy Days coat designed to fit 14.5" dolls such as WellieWishers™.

Well designed

Quite a challenging sew, but it goes together well, and is a good fit. Nice flick and flare to it.

Rainy Days

Why would you put princes seams down the back of this coat. Liked the way the outer coat and lining went together at the sleeves. Lots of top stitching!

Rainy Days are Fun Days

Loved the detail of the pattern, thought the inverting of the garment for invisible seams was fantastic

A hit with granddaughter

The pattern was easy to follow. It fit well too. I made it using flannel backed vinyl and lining it with ripstop nylon. I had to be careful when pinning the vinyl but it turned out very well also made the boots out of the vinyl which was a flower print.

Nice reversible coat

Great instructions. Well designed coat.
