As the tide slowly came in along the shoreline, the wild waves began to wash away our magnificent sand city of castles and dreams. We vowed to return again next year to begin again. The Wild Waves swimsuit is perfect for a vacation at the beach, lounging by the pool or taking a pretend swimming lesson. The one-piece suit features a wavy skirt, with fold over elastic trim around the top and back of the suit. It pulls on easily and has a snap closure at the neck. Mix and match bright colors, polka dots or animal print swim fabrics with fun shades of the fold over elastic to make a wild waves combination all your own. The Wild Waves PDF sewing pattern is sized for 18 inch dolls.
Pattern Bonus: Included with the pattern pieces is a display card template that can be traced or printed onto card stock. It’s a fun way to display your Wild Waves Swimsuit and can be used at craft shows or when mailing to customers.

I made several swimsuits from this pattern. It was easy to sew and fits the American Girl 18” doll very well. I used 4 way stretch lycra and fold over elastic.
Wow, what a lovely pattern, well written, and love the swimmers I made. They’re for my granddaughters doll which is shorter than the American Girl / Out Generation dolls so I shortened the torso, 1/4 in off top off the bottom pieces and 1/2 inch off the bottom of the top pieces. Shown on my Baby Born doll, Josie’s dolly is a little slimmer than Baby Born so should be a perfect fit. Ps, I didn’t have fold over elastic on hand so used bias binding instead and lengthened the straps so they tied in the back.
The clear instructions guided me through what I thought would be a difficult task, attacthing the circular skirt on this suit, If you are careful with the width of all seam allowancws, then the skirt fits perfectly. I'm very pleased with the results! Thank you for a great pattern!
So far the pattern has printed out fine. Next will be the instructions which I did not print out to save on ink and paper so I will follow on line when I make my swimsuit. It is so cute!!
I have not had a chance to make it yet, but I expect the pattern to be just like all the others from Pixie Faire - easy and adorable.
