Janet 18" Doll Knitting Pattern

14 reviews   |

Available in two sizes, ‘Janet’ is a beautiful and stylish cardigan just perfect for your doll this winter. Knitted from the top down, this cardigan offers several striking finishes, namely the attractive increases in the raglan, gorgeous cable ribbing on the sleeve cuffs and cardigan hem and an easy garter stitch button band. As a pretty variation, add a garter stitch edging to the cuffs and hems.

Pixie Faire patterns

The patterns are easy to follow and use. I haven’t made all the patterns I’ve bought yet, as I’m making clothes for nine young ladies. The class I purchased was great! Thank you Cinnamon!

Knitting Janet

I found the pattern easy to follow, the sizing was perfect. I had never knitted top down and all together. But the pattern was very clear, I loved the result.

Janet 18” doll sweater pattern

I didn’t know if I qualified as an intermediate knitter so I went to a knitting group to get started. I needed to see how to do a yo ( yarn over). Once I got the hang of that it went pretty quickly. I watched a YouTube tutorial on cable stitching and went to Hobby Lobby to get a cable needle. Then the cables developed right before my eyes! I kept thinking the whole time, this pattern maker is brilliant! Just SO CLEVER! I watch another tutorial on sewing the sleeve inseams and they turned out great. I plan on making this sweater again using the smaller numbers because this one turned out a tad big. But I will definitely do it again! This pattern is BEAUTIFUL!

Shetland memories

Sweater is a gem. Very easy construction and adorable results. If I were to make it again, I might shorten the body a few rows and add a few stitches to the bust, my doll might be a more overstuffed model. It seems to fit her Addy perfectly. Made this with the geometry class jumper for a friend with Shetland wool to celebrate a trip we took to Scotland and Ireland together.
