Our first attempt was too small. It fit the doll, but very hard to get off. So, we changed things up a bit and, whalla, the jeans pattern works! First, the jean fabric should be very stretchy jeggings material. Second we added 1/4" to all the pattern edges. When we cut the pattern out, we fit it to the doll with pins to make sure it would fit and be a little more roomier. Then we left a "v" open at the seam at the ankle. We made two of them and they are perfect! My 5 year old neice can take her WW pants off now herself. Hope this helps. Make your fist pair of jeans with some scrap material. Nancy S.
I made 3 pair of the skinny jeans for my Wellie Wisher & for my Hearts by Hearts dolls. I really struggled to get them on & the I had to cut them apart to get them off. The dolls feet don't bend at the ankle, so getting the skinny jeans on & off doesn't work.
These little jeans were so much fun to make. Love the details and the fit is great. Thanks for an excellent pattern! Joan
I will enjoy trying it
