This sweater seems to get a lot of mixed reviews … I purchased the pattern in 2021, so I’m working with the current updated version (2020 revision). I found it easy to assemble, with clear instructions that didn’t confuse me at all. The band length, which several people mentioned, on this revision is perfect … it’s designed to be slightly shorter than the sweater itself, and does need to be stretched slightly as you pin it on - that’s what gives it the soft rounded shape it’s intended to have. Be sure you place your band pattern piece with the stretch following the line on the pattern piece! The sweater is (intentionally) a little long … I might shorten it just a little if I make it again to pair with a short skirt!
So far so good! I havent finished yet but the pattern is so easy to follow!
This pattern was easy to understand and put together. It came out really cute too! I put it on my Disney ILY 4ever Elsa inspired doll and it fits her well. The only issue I had was the band piece being too short. I had to take in the side seams to make it fit the piece of ribbed jersey I used for the band.
The ribbing or outer edge pattern piece does not fit the sweater. It all depends on on the stretch of the knit. On a Simplicity pattern is a little after h guage so you can buy the right knit for a pattern. You should have o ne of those here and teach people how to use it. I taught my students so they wouldn't be disappointed with their sweater.
