I would love to learn how to knit. After the first row, I am stumped. My mother tried to teach me, but I could never get the hang of it. Knitting is the only craft I am unable do to and you offer many knitting patterns.

I just finished the So-Cal lifestyle. I loved all the pattern hacks that were offered. I have not made the rash guard, but that is next!!! I would love a pattern hack for a trapeze style dress. I have made several for my Granddaughter and they are so cute with leggings. Thought a doll version would be cute!

My favorite Pixie Faire course, tutorial, or pattern hack is Seam Finishes because this is where I mastered the Hong Kong binding. I had heard of the technique before but never truly understood it completely. With this course I was amazed at how simple it became for me. I love a well finished interior as I feel it gives your finished product that something extra special. This course and the Hong Kong binding gave me another tool in my pocket.

My favorite Pixie Faire sewing course was the Sewing Coutuer Course because I really learned some techniques that made my work extra special. Every doll outfit that I sew is just a little lovelier because a take the time to use the things I learned in this class. Just the pressing techniques have made a great difference to my finished garments.

I have been sewing since the 60s so I learned you have to be patient no matter how many times you have done it before. My challenge is making hats – especially from foam; the paint doesn’t stay on very well or I am using the wrong stuff and I would like more confidence in making shoes. They all come out in the end, but remaking them over and over is frustrating.
I am new to making doll clothes, however when my daughter was little, I did make a lot of Barbie clothes. These days my sewing is dedicated to donation projects, and I would love to be able to make a wardrobe along with a doll, to some little girl, that may not ever have one.
