More About Peggy In Her Own Words: "Hi, I’m Peggy and I love sewing—especially for children. This is a fairly recent discovery for me, as I have been sewing since I was nine years old, but mostly for adults. When my twin granddaughters were born, I discovered how much I loved sewing for them. And since they were little girls, I wanted to make a safe, soft cloth doll for each of them. I tried lots of doll patterns, but I wasn’t happy with the results, so I finally made my own pattern. These dolls became a big hit at local craft shows! It was such fun to make them, clothes and all, but making shoes for them was hard. After I enrolled in the Liberty Jane Design Academy and later the Pattern Academy, I became quite interested in designing my own doll shoes and clothing patterns. That led to my first published pattern: The Sweet Sneaks, a machine embroidery pattern, which I published with Pixie Faire in 2017. Soon I began publishing more shoe patterns, and sewing patterns. And now, you can get my doll design and other toy designs, my machine embroidery shoe designs, and lots of my doll clothes patterns too, all on Pixie Faire! Thanks so much for your support of my creations. I am blessed to be able to offer them to others on Pixie Faire!"

More About Each Pattern:
SEWING PATTERN: The St Francis Jacket Designed To Fit 18 Inch Dolls Such As American Girl®: This stylish little jacket for your 18” doll has only three main pattern pieces and is easy to make. It requires only a quarter of a yard each for the jacket and lining fabric, and is fat-quarter friendly. The jacket is fully lined for ease of construction and easy wear, and there is even a lining tutorial to help with all steps of stitching the lining, especially the sleeves! The classic raglan sleeves are so simple to sew, yet allow for animal ears to be added, and the round neckline allows for a cute tee-shirt or collar to peek out underneath, or a fuzzy scarf to wrap around your doll’s neck.
Complete the look with a stretchy pair of leggings, boots, and a hat, and your doll is ready for the great outdoors! Your jacket can be decorated with your choice of four adorable designs: cat, dog, bear, and lamb. You’ll want to add all four designs to each of your dolls’ cool weather wardrobes!
MACHINE EMBROIDERY DESIGN: Bella's Bow Tied Booties Designed To Fit 18 Inch Dolls Such As American Girl®: Bella's Bow-Tied Booties were inspired by a pair of crocheted baby booties that caught my eye. When I realized they were somewhat similar to my own high-topped shoe design, Bella's Bow-Tied Booties were underway. I revamped my stitched high-top shoe, adding a few adjustments to the size and shape in order for the tongue to overlap the heel and be assembled last, and adding eyelets along the top for the shoestrings. The result was a cute little boot that is both trendy and easy to construct in the hoop. It is versatile enough to be used with woven fabrics as well as craft vinyl and faux leather. Best of all, it is super-cute, tied with a bow either in the front or the back.
These shoes are designed to fit 18" dolls such as American Girl® and can be stitched with a 5x7 hoop or larger. And, for your convenience, this design works with the Pixie Packs Pre-Cut Shape 1 soles, or you can cut your own soles with the Liberty Jane Shape 1 sole template provided.
MACHINE EMBROIDERY DESIGN: Bella's Bow Tied Booties Designed To Fit 14.5 Inch Dolls Such As WellieWishers™: Bella’s Bow-tied Booties were inspired by some crocheted baby booties that caught my eye. When I realized that they were somewhat similar to my own high top stitched shoe design, Bella’s Bow-Tied Bootie design was underway.
I revamped my stitched high top shoe, adding a few adjustments to the size and shape in order for the tongue to overlap the heel and be assembled last, and adding eyelets along the top for the shoestrings.
The result was a cute little boot that is both trendy and easy to construct in the hoop. It is versatile enough to be used with woven fabrics as well as craft materials such as vinyl and faux leather.
Best of all, it is super cute tied with a bow, either in the front or the back!
This style is also available in the 18” size for dolls such as American Girl®and can be stitched with a 5 x 7 hoop or larger. And, to make your construction simple, this design works with the Pixie Packs Shape 2 Pre-Cut Soles, but a template of that sole shape is provided for your to cut your own.
MACHINE EMBROIDERY DESIGN: The Cat-tastic Dress Designed To Fit 14.5 Inch Dolls Such As WellieWishers™: The Cat-tastic dress was inspired by our rescue cat and our granddaughters' love of soft, stretchy, fun clothes to wear. This applique design features ruffle-trimmed sleeves, a dropped waist, and a skater-style skirt that is meant to hug the hips and flare out at the hem. (A gathered skirt/sleeve ruffle option is offered as well.) This style dress fits best when made of a slightly stretchy fabric. And, because it is a “hoodie” designed for cooler temperatures, a variety of standard fleece or sweatshirt fleece fabrics work well. It is also fun to experiment with the newer terry knits and the sweater fleece prints.
The design calls for a hook and loop closure, but you might want to experiment with snaps, buttons, or a zipper.
This outfit is designed to fit 13-14.5" dolls such as WellieWishers™, Hearts for Hearts Girls® and Corolle® les Cheries.
Take a look at the patterns:
We'd love to hear from you! Leave a comment below and thank Peggy!
If you make a cute outfit using this pattern be sure to share a picture using the #pixiefaire on Facebook and on Instagram!
I love the booties. They are adorable!
Thank you for the cute St Francis Jacket.
I have to agree with A>C> today. So many of us out here, love our 18" dolls. But we do not have an embroidery machine. Nor do we have the !4.5" dolls that others are so happy about.
I do thank you for the jacket pattern. It is very cute. I appreciate your generosity!
I appreciate the freebie patterns, but I really wish you would stop doing voting with other sizes against one AG-sized pattern. The AG pattern will always win by a large margin. Can you either just not do voting for these things (the outcome is always obvious anyway), or make all the potential designs for the same size of doll to make it fair for non-AG sizes?
Thanks Peggy and Cinnamon for your generosity. You both are special,
Thank you, Peggy. But what a shame that a sewing pattern was pitted against the embroidery patterns. Most people don’t have an embroidery machine (I get that), so the sewing pattern gets the votes. I would have loved to try the Cat-tastic Wellies dress. Besides the dress size that I desire, I too, have a couple of rescue cats… that own us!
Thank you for the pattern choices. They are adorable
I prefer the St. Francis Jacket. I don’t have an embroidery machine so the other patterns would not do me any good.
Bella bow tie booties, I am in love with shoes for 18" dolls. Thx!
Thanks, Peggy, for the great pattern choices. I voted for the jacket pattern since I don’t have an embroidery machine, but they are,all adorable!
St Francis Jacket is so cute, Thank you for your gifts .
I voted for the Booties. Thank you Peggy for the cute patterns.
Thank you, Peggy, for allowing us to have one of your cute patterns. I’m voting for the St Francis jacket as it has so many variations. I like the cat dress too but we don’t have Wellie dolls so am hoping the jacket wins.
Thanks for the cute pattern. A great cozy winter jacket with leggings for Nova Scotia Canada!! Maybe can get a couple sewn before gift time…
Thank you, Peggy. I vote for the St. Francis jacket, as it seems to be the only one which does not feature machine embroidery and I do not have an embroidery machine. Actually, I like it best anyway. :-)
Thanks Peggy! I vote for the St Francis Jacket
I vote for the sewing pattern as its adorable and I do not have an embroidery maching
Since I cannot do machine embroidery I will vote for the clothes pattern of Frog Princess Jacket St Francis design! I can still make it with “old fashioned” hand sewn designs and maybe buttons for the eyes??? Anyway that one has my vote! Rosie
St. Francis Jacket please
Well, I guess I’m voting for the pattern because my machines are way too old to do embroidery! Thanks for contributing to Freebie Friday, Peggy. It’s designers like you who keep this fun.
I chose the front yop because I am not sure my machine can do your embroidery, Mine takes the cartridges for embroidery. But I do love the tops with the cats or dogs faces!
I voted for the Cat-tastic dress. There are so few dress patterns for the Wellie Wisher dolls, and this one is adorable! The basic form is adaptable to many versions in addition to the cute appliqué shown.
Cute patterns, I don’t have an embroidery machine so I am going with the St Joseph’s Jacket.
Thanks so much.
All the patterns are very nice but my vote goes to the St. Francis Jacket. My grand daughter would love that for her dolls.
My vote this week went to the St Joseph’s jacket – so cute! I have the booties for AG and its a great design, so I am looking forward to another from Peggy. Thank you so much Peggy for your generosity!
I voted for the awesome cat hoodie dress!! So what if I don’t have an embroidery machine…that dress will look JUST as cute without it. AND, I can also make a cute hoodie by leaving the skirt off.
Thanks for such cute patterns AND including some smaller doll patterns. And for the Freebie Friday program, much appreciated!
Thank you Peggy! I vote for the patterns. The animal faces are so cute, and I don’t have a machine that can do the type of embroidery for the Wellie wishers.
I don’t have a lot of choice because I don’t have a machine embroidery. Only an old one. So I choose the St. Francis Jacket. Thank you.
Love the patterns
The embroidery designs are just too cute but since I don’t have an embroidery machine either, my vote had to go to the Pixie Faire jacket.
I voted for the sewing pattern because I don’t have an embroidery machine
Thanks, Peggy, for generously giving away one of your patterns! I love the embroidery, but can’t do it on my machine, so I’m voting for the coat. Thanks, Pixie Faire!
I voted for the St. Francis jacket. Thanks for sharing your adorable patterns!
They are all sooo Cute. Thank you very much. Eileen W.
je vote pour les jolies bottines MACHINE EMBROIDERY DESIGN:
I voted for sewing pattern since I don’t have an embroidery machine.
I love the look of the booties, but am too new at sewing doll things to even think about machine embroidery. I am hoping for a basic machine for Christmas, as my machine somehow disappeared while moving a few years ago. You might inspire me to look into the machine embroidery thing, as your work is beautiful.
I am voting for the really cute cat dress. I don’t have an embroidery machine either.
What a cute array of patterns. I’d LOVE to have the wellie shoes make it but since it requires an embroidery machine they probably won’t. ight have to treat myself to that pattern for my birthday. We have 2 new Glitter Girls who wear the Wellie patterns so I vote for that darling cat dress.Thank you so much.
voted for the Jacket . thanks for the offering
Thank you for these offerings. The St. Francis Jacket is the cutest thing ever! My vote goes for that so 3 grandchildren’s dolls will be warm on Christmas day! Thank you again.
I vote for the WellieWisher dress with embroidery. How nice to offer the machine embroidery designs! Thank You!
I vote for the WellieWisher dress with embroidery. How nice to offer the machine embroidery designs! Thank You!
My vote this week is for the St. Francis Jacket. It looks simple enough to make several and with the choice of animals, they all could be different for each of your dolls. The use of a fat quarter for the fabric makes it very economical.
Thanks Peggy.
I voted for sewing pattern since I don’t have an embroidery machine.
Thank you, Peggy for the lovely pattern choices! My vote is for the 18 inch doll, St. Francis jacket.
Thank you so much for your generosity, Peggy!
I voted for the cute jacket pattern. Unfortunately, I don’t have an embroidery machine, but after checking out all your super cute patterns, I’m certainly going to put one on my wishlist!
Thankyou for the opportunity to receive another of your patterns,i have purchased a couple already, and will be purchasing more. My grand daughters doll love this!
Thanks Peggy, cute designs, voted for the jacket.
Thank you, Peggy! I already have the St. Francis Jacket so I voted for the Cat-tastic dress.
Thank you. Designers like you who do generously donated their patterns enable people who are disabled like myself the chance to get beautiful patterns we could not otherwise afford. Making doll cl clothes keeps me from going insane sitting aroun d dto
ay after day. Bless you and all the designers who donate
Thank you
Frog princess fashions as I don’t have nor my granddaughters any Wellie Wishers. Thank you!
The boots are super cute but I don’t have an embroidery machine so my vote goes to the jacket, also cute! Thanks Peggy!
I voted for the Cat-tastic dress for Wellie Wishers as my granddaughter is getting a new Wellie Wisher doll for her birthday on Tuesday and she loves cats! All the designs are great! Thank you for your generosity!
Thanks!
These are so cute, love the The St Francis Jacket, thank you for sharing
ya the sewing pattern, so cute. Thanks!
St. Francis Jacket is so cute. Love them all, but the jacket gets my vote this week. Thanks for the chance to vote.
No embroidery machine so I will be voting for the jacket, all of them are super cute!
Thank you. Patterns are cute.
Thank you, Peggy & Cinnamon. I don’t have an embroidery machine so, I can’t take advantage of the embroidery templates. I’m voting for the cute Catastic Dress for 14" dolls. My grand daughter just received that sized doll and it would be fun to add a dress like this to her doll’s wardrobe.
Thank you Peggy for the cute patterns to choose from. They are all darling.
Thank you!
They are all cute! Decisions, decisions . . . .
I voted for the St. Francis Jacket. It looks very doable with lots of variations. Thank you very much!
Makes it really hard not to vote for only one pattern since not everyone has a embroider sewing machine
Thank you for all the cute choices this week… as usual it is hard to pick just one! I don’t have an embroidery machine (can’t afford it) but I’m guessing you can still make nice footwear without one. Since my doll needs shoes I voted for the 18 inch Bow Tied Booties… they look so cute too! Though I have a feeling it won’t win :(
thank you for the patterns but it’s hard to choose just one you are a wonderful designer again thank you
Thank you so much for your generosity! All of your patterns are so cute!
All are cute. Animals is a good theme. I voted for the wellie wisher dress as I need more clothes for that doll.
Thank you for the adorable designs! Peggy they are wonderful. I vote for the jacket.
Thank you kindly, Peggy, for your delightful pattern and for sharing your inspirational story.
Thank you kindly, Peggy, for your delightful pattern and for sharing your inspirational story.
Thank you Peggy! That St. Francis Jacket is so adorable!
Guess it has to be the jacket as I don’t have (or want) a machine that does embroidery. Thanks for sharing your pattens, but you have others I prefer to any offered this week.
Thanks Peggy! These are adorable designs! I especially love the Cat-tastic dress for Wellies!
Peggy, thank you for such cute patterns and for your generosity. So adorable!
