Sewing With Gingham - Meet Amy Barickman!

Hi Everyone! Welcome to Sewing With Gingham! I'm excited to introduce my friend, Amy Barickman, to all of you! Amy has graciously agreed to be a guest instructor with us on Sewing With Cinnamon & Friends! She's has so much experience in the industry and has created multiple sewing courses. This is such a treat! The course she is presenting is the Gingham Primer Course.

Amy will be presenting the course overview the next few installments with a fun sewing project, in-depth history lesson, and PDF printables all about vintage gingham. Then I will bring it all together in the final week with a close up look at how we've used what we've learned to make darling doll-size aprons with the Love U Bunches Retro Apron pattern!

I met Amy earlier this year at Phoenix Quilt Con and we hit it off immediately! I knew she would be. great fit for our sewing community! I'm super excited to bring her courses to you!

Amy is a wonderful person and has so much to teach us all about vintage everything. I own many of her books including Vintage Notions which is amazing. So happy to have her here at Pixie Faire. Oh yes, if you do not have her book Vintage Notions, you must order it. Truly is amazing.

When I was a little girl of 2, my mama made me one of my all time favourite dresses. It was a bright green gingham with black rickrack and a black cat applique. I have been crazy about gingham ever since. I am looking forward to the chicken scratch embroidery a lot! I have a fun idea for a Les Cherie’s dress…
