I really like this pattern. However, I’m not sure if it’s my printer or the pattern, but I had to enlarge it about 3/4 inch to make it fit correctly. The scale on the pattern was measuring correctly. I made 2 of these dresses for my granddaughters’ dolls. I also made the LJ leggings to put under it with matching Jane shoes. To give it a more dressy look, I trimmed it with lace around the neckline, hem and sleeve hems.
I have and AG doll from 2008, and this pattern was much too small in the chest/back. I had to add 1/2" to each back bodice piece in order for it to close/fit. I also felt it was a little too short, more like tunic-length, and had a slight fit issue with the neckline. Ok pattern overall all, with a few adjustments.
So glad I bought this pattern. I whipped this dress out in no time with zero problems. You could modify this pattern to make a lot of cute styles. I didn't realize it had a hi-low hem when I bought it, but I just cut it all one length and it made an absolutely adorable '70s style dress for my American Girl doll Julie! I will use this again and again!
Cute pattern, but the photos are a bit misleading. On your site, the dress looks pleated. Once I printed out the pattern, I realized the skirt was gathered.
I made this dress several times using batik prints. Adorable! For my doll, my first attempt was tight under the arms so I made allowances for that in the next one I made and it was perfect.
