I first made a quilted winter coat for an Our Generation doll and the pattern was to small for the doll, especially in the arm holes, I them made it out of a suede type fabric and the arms still did not fit right the arms were to long and to tight in the arm holes. I think the body for my doll is just to big for the pattern. So I would say make sure you measure your doll and enlarge the pattern as needed. I'm going to try a tweed fabric next.
This is a nice casual coat, with lots of cute details. The coat isn’t lined (except the hood), and has no front fasteners like buttons or a zipper - both things that can make a coat scary. The fit was excellent … loose enough to easily fit over jeans and a shirt. Definitely one I’ll want to make again!
I loved it. It was so simple to make! It turned out really cute. I made a rain coat out of it. So fun!
