I sew primarily making clothes (either for myself or my family. I’ve been sewing since I was a teenager and i am now 70 years old. I spend anywhere from zero hours to most of the day sewing depending on what else is going on.
I sew and crochet primarily as a hobby for home. I spend 4-5 hours a day. It relaxes me, and is a great way to wind down.
“I sew, knit, and crochet] primarily as a hobby. On average, I spend 4-6 hours a day on one or another. I primarily make gifts for family and friends, and my adult children’s friends. I do American girl items for 2 nieces, and soon for 2 grand daughters, both under age 3 right now.
I sew historic costumes (life size and doll size) to share in my social studies classes. Kids love it when history comes to life. I sew whenever I have a spare moment.
“I sew primarily as a hobby and on average I spend anywhere from zero hours per week to several hours every day. Depends on what else is going on. Plus I’ve been sewing for so long that a garment that would take me two weeks to complete years ago I can now do in a couple of days. If I’m making gifts I’m sewing every day. But if my kids are competing in their sports I’m not sewing.”
