“I sew primarily as a hobby and on average I spend anywhere from zero hours per week to several hours every day. Depends on what else is going on. Plus I’ve been sewing for so long that a garment that would take me two weeks to complete years ago I can now do in a couple of days. If I’m making gifts I’m sewing every day. But if my kids are competing in their sports I’m not sewing.”

I sew primarily as a hobby and have made things for my family as well as friends and probably spend 8 -10 hrs a week when I’m actually making something. I find the creative process takes me a lot longer than the actual sewing out of the project I’ve picked.

I sew primarily as a hobby to make items for my children and family, and I make a small amount of items for gifts and another set to sell online. I sew about 5 hours each week, but realistically some weeks it is none and other weeks it is an hours-long marathon to finish a project.

I sew as a hobby, and I sew in fits and starts. I might not sew for a few weeks, then I’ll get really into a project and sew in all my spare time for a few weeks. I have a bunch of hobbies and because they’re my hobbies, I insist that I enjoy doing them – and if I don’t, I stop and do something else.

I sew primarily as a hobby right now. Not much time to sew at present as I am packing and planning on moving in the next few months but as a rule I put in long days both sewing, painting, working with clay, and a lot of time doing research on clothing, fabrics etc… It is my way of expressing my inner spirit.

I sew (and knit) primarily as a hobby. I am my husband’s caregiver, so I appreciate having beautiful things to sew that can be put aside when I need to attend to him, and that come together quickly when I come back to them, unlike full-size clothing. I will cut out several outfits and let them wait: I don’t have a set amount that I sew each day, but I binge-sew often for a week or more at a time, completing at least an outfit a day, including hand work. Thanks to the Pixie Faire staff and to the designers of these lovely clothes for this opportunity.

These days I sew as a hobby primarily which is fun . . Gone are the days when I made my own clothes for work , now retired . Making clothes other than for work for my Daughter has evolved into uniforms . And grand daughter doll clothes are the wishes mostly enjoyed . This year I’m going to learn to knit and crochet to add to the creativity and tomorrow I’m putting a zipper in a large wool sweater that requires re-enforcement and some dexterity . I’m hopeful .
