I sew and crochet primarily as a hobby for home. I spend 4-5 hours a day. It relaxes me, and is a great way to wind down.

I sew historic costumes (life size and doll size) to share in my social studies classes. Kids love it when history comes to life. I sew whenever I have a spare moment.

I am my husband’s caregiver, so I appreciate having beautiful things to sew that can be put aside when I need to attend to him, and that come together quickly when I come back to them, unlike full-size clothing. I will cut out several outfits and let them wait: I don’t have a set amount that I sew each day, but I binge-sew often for a week or more at a time, completing at least an outfit a day, including hand work. I sew primarily as a way to make gifts. On average, I spend about 1 hour per week. I tend to spend a lot more some weeks and then skip many weeks.

These days I sew as a hobby primarily which is fun . . Gone are the days when I made my own clothes for work , now retired . Making clothes other than for work for my Daughter has evolved into uniforms . And grand daughter doll clothes are the wishes mostly enjoyed . This year I’m going to learn to knit and crochet to add to the creativity and tomorrow I’m putting a zipper in a large wool sweater that requires re-enforcement and some dexterity . I’m hopeful .
I sew, knit, or do crafts of many types as a way to fulfill a need in me to be creative. On average, I spend at least two hours every day on something creative, but usually it’s many hours. Now that I’m older I try to pass on my skills to young people around me so that the arts do not die.

I sew primarily as a hobby, plus, I’m a beginner at crochet. I sew for others, myself, and family. Not quite sure how many hours I spend but it is quite a lot. I have 3 sewing machines plus 1 commercial sewing machine, and, of course, the serger. Thank you for you contest/giveaway!

I sew, crochet, knit, embroider, smock and paint. Sewing for dolls is my favorite and primary hobby! I am intrigued by period to modern costuming and accessories for dolls. I have sewn to generate funds to support my hobby; to raise funds for community service projects; to enter contests; and of course to sew for my family and friends. I sew primarily making clothes (either for myself or my family. I’ve been sewing since I was a teenager and i am now 70 years old. I spend anywhere from zero hours to most of the day sewing depending on what else is going on.
