Happy Valentine's Day!

It doesn't take much to make this fun little crown -- and it adds a great deal of festivity to any Valentine's Day party :) You'll need colored paper, a chenille stick, some embroidery floss or ribbon, and some little flowers and ribbon. Scissors and a little hole punch will make the job a lot easier, too!

Start by cutting lots of little hearts out of the paper, then punch holes in them. You can also use a large sewing needle to pierce holes, if you don't have a punch -- just be careful not to stab yourself. :)

Then, cut off a piece of floss or narrow ribbon, and start tying hearts onto it at intervals. Trim off the tail at the bottom heart.

Keep adding hearts until you like the length, then make a couple more; three heart strings is just about right for a doll crown.

Next, bend a chenille stick into a circle, overlapping and wrapping the ends to hold them together. One stick makes a circle just right for our purposes :)

Tie the heart strings onto the crown, and clip off the extra string.
Next, if you have little artificial flowers and leaves, go ahead and wrap them onto the crown, over the knots.

Finish off by tying a pretty ribbon or fabric scrap over the back of the crown; arrange the tails so that the heart strings still show around them :)
And there you have it! A lovely little Valentines Day crown to make your (and your doll's) holiday more festive!

Have fun, and let us know in the comments if you make this!

This is very cute can’t wait to do this with great granddaughters!
Simple to make, fun to do with the granddaughters to match the dresses that I made for them.
Thank you, this is perfect for Valentine’s Day, could also be wrapped onto a comb or a small clip for your daughter to wear. Keep them matching. This could be used for any holiday, just change the theme.
Adorable!
