Got a pair of pants that needs some spiffing? This quick technique adds a pop of pizzazz to ordinary pants!

Find some leaf-colored fabric scraps, get out your double sided fusible (like "Wonder-Under" or "Stitch-Witchery"), and prepare to applique!
Cut squares from the fabric and the double-sided fusible. Then, use your iron and follow the directions to fuse the exposed side of the webbing to the fabric.
Draw leaf shapes on the paper side, then cut them out. You can freehand these, use a stencil, print off leaf shapes from the internet, or (gasp!) trace around tiny, real leaves :)
Roll up a towel and stuff it down the pant leg you want to embellish. Then, peel the paper backing off your leaves, revealing the other side of the fusible, and position them on the pants.
Using a press cloth to protect your fabric, fuse the leaves into place. Let them cool thoroughly before pulling out the towel.
You can go back in at this point and add decorative hand stitching, if you'd like -- but the fusible should hold the leaves in place.

My favorite thing of about fall leaves are the COLORS! I get so much inspiration from the beautiful reds, oranges, and yellows. I’d love to make an ombré dress out of it.
My favorite thing about fall leaves is the childhood memories. I went to a small two room country school ( in the late 60’s early 70’s). The children wre allowed to play in the piles of leaves, making forts, throwing them, hiding in the huge piles.It was hours of fun.
“My favorite thing about fall leaves is…..” being out with my grandkids raking up the piles and then jumping and throwing them! They have a blast and fun memories are made.

My favourite thing about fall leaves is how excited my children are about them! We love watching the seasons pass together—noting how the leaves appear in the spring, grow full in the summer, then turn colours and finally fall when autumn comes. We have fun collecting leaves—from tiny to large, in all the colours we can find, and identify the trees they came from. We make some art projects before they are all gone—and happy memories, too. :)
