Looking for a fun Christmas break project? Try this quick technique to customize a basic tee shirt!

To make this project, all you need is some fabric paint, cardboard, a paintbrush...and of course, a tee!
Draw a holly leaf shape onto a piece of cardboard. For reference, mine is about an inch long from top to bottom.
Cut out the holly leaf, and also cut a strip of cardboard. Bend one end of the strip, and glue it to the back of your leaf to make a handle.
Use the paintbrush to 'ink' your stamp. Do a couple practice stamps on some scrap fabric -- it took me a little while to figure out how to transfer the holly leaf shape most clearly.
When you feel confident, slip another piece of cardboard in the middle of your tee (to protect the back from any possible bleed-through), and go for it!
I decided to do an all-over pattern, but you could do leaves in clumps or pairs, or make several different sizes of holly leaves, or....!
Then, use the back of the paintbrush to make the holly berries. Let the tee dry thoroughly, and heat-set the paint following the directions on the package.
And ta-da! You've got a finished shirt!

My favorite Christmas decoration is a ceramic village I painted 40+ years ago. Just isn’t Christmas without the village arranged on the buffet with lights and fluffy faux snow all around.
My favorite Christmas decoration……hard to pick! I think that it would be our tree! I love the white lights and all the homemade ornaments the kids bring home every year from school.
My favorite decoration – a Nativity. In fact, we have collected over 450 various types: figurines, books, ornaments, etc. So many of them have special meanings to my husband and myself. First one was a felt figurine set I made for our first Christmas in 1969.
My favorite Christmas decoration is the angel quilted wall hanging my mother made me one year, but to be honest she made me a snowman one that is pretty nice and a wreath one too; well you get the idea, my mom’s quilted hangings! My grand daughter would love that t shirt and I know she will have us making more!!
my favorite ornaments are those that evoke memories from the past. I have plans to make memories with my granddaughter next week when we make ornaments together.
