Let's get started...
First, you're going to need some supplies:
• ½ yard light-medium weight knit with minimum-moderate stretch works best (there
is a helpful stretch guide in the “Easy As π Bandeau Dress” pattern)
• About 30” of ⅝” FOE
• Pattern Piece A from “Take The Plunge Swimsuit”
• Pattern Piece B from “Easy As π BandeauDress"
Preparing The Pattern Pieces
Before we cut the fabric, we need to prepare pattern piece A (Take The Plunge Swimsuit) for the bodice. Add 1 ¼” bottom edge of the pattern piece.

Tape pattern pieces B (1 of 2 and 2 of 2) together from “Easy As π Bandeau Dress”.

Cut fabric using this cutting layout:
• Piece B from “Easy As π Bandeau Dress”
• Piece A “Take The Plunge Swimsuit”

Cut fabric.

Assembling The Bodice
Cut ⅝” FOE (Fold Over Elastic):
• 2 x 5 ¾”
• 1 x 18”

Mark the 5 ¾” pieces of FOE.
Follow STEP 2 for marking the 18” piece of FOE.

Follow STEPS 5 to 27 (omitting STEPS 13-15) from the “Take The Plunge Swimsuit” pattern to complete the bodice.

Adding The Skirt
Follow STEPS 8 to 11 from the “Easy As π Bandeau Dress” pattern.

Use the finishing guide on PAGE 6 from the “Easy As π Bandeau Dress” pattern to finish the dress hem. Congratulations! Your new halter dress is finished!

I’m looking forward to summer because it will be time to do some fun outdoor projects and visit the beach and other places of interest and our 18" friends will be joining us and then will be able to wear the cute summer clothes.
I’m looking forward to summer because it is my favorite season! My daughters will be home from school and we are headed to the beach. This dress pattern is perfect for our 18" friends that will be coming along for the trip!
I am looking forward to summer because my daughter who lives on the opposite coast will be coming to visit! I will also be doing a couple craft shows and selling my doll clothes creations.
I am looking forward to summer because it makes me happy. I love watching everything grow, wearing lighter clothing, sandals and the sense of freedom walking in the sunshine and the warmth it creates. Everything becomes a delight, instead of a struggle. The colours change constantly throughout the summer with our stunning sunrises and sunsets. The furnace is off, windows are open, and sunlight streams into the house, onto my sewing machine. Sewing for spring, summer and fall is great fun, because the fabrics are lighter in weight and brighter in colour. The summer fabrics make my eyes happy. Best of all, the warmth of summer makes me feel good physically, making everything I do easier and more fun. Even housecleaning is easier in the summer. Rain washes the air clean and makes it easier to breathe – I remember reading that the trees love having a shower! Getting caught in a summer shower and splashing in the puddles is fun, even at my age! Summer means freedom, relaxation, and fun. Yes, I look forward to summer for all of these reasons and more! :) And, I can brag about surviving another hard winter!
I am looking forward to summer because I can be outside and can spend time with my friends and family.
