The ringer t-shirt is a classic design and is a perfect addition to any wardrobe. Find out how to make one with this clever pattern hack from Marilyn of QTπ Doll Clothing!

Giveaway Update:  Our winner is Jeri who said "My favorite tee shirt is my post rapture milk carton tee shirt. It generates a lot of questions and smiles from people who get it."  Thanks to everyone who entered! It was fun reading about all of your t-shirts!

Follow along as Marilyn teaches us how to use her Henley pattern to make a cool ringer tee!

(Click on the cover image to find the pattern on Pixie Faire.)

Let's get started...

First, you're going to need some fabric: light-medium weight knit with minimum-moderate
stretch works best for the body. (I am upcycling a t-shirt I found on clearance) . The
neckband and arm cuffs can be made of a lightweight ribbing or moderate stretch (there is a helpful stretch guide in the pattern).

Before we cut the fabric, we need to prepare the pattern piece (Piece G) for the sleeve. Using a ruler, mark and cut sleeve 3 ¼” level with the bottom edge.

Then, cut out the front, back and new sleeve (Pattern pieces E, F & G).

Next, cut out the neckband and sleeve cuffs.
Neckband: 8 ½” x 1 ¼”
Sleeve cuffs: 2 - 4 ½” x 1 ½

Follow STEPS 22-29 in the Henley pattern.

Fold neckband in half lengthwise. On the RIGHT side of the t-shirt pin center of the neckband to the center front of T-shirt. Pin ends at center back leaving an excess ½”. Stretching slightly pin at shoulders.

Next, stretch neckband to fit neck and continue to pin neckband evenly.

Stitch with a 1/4'” seam, gently stretching the neckband, but not the neck of t-shirt.
Zigzag stitch or serge finished seam.

Follow STEPS 30-32 and 44-52 to complete your ringer t-shirt.

Your ringer tee is now finished!

My favorite tshirt is the one I got from becoming a street team member for author Jana DeLeon. It is comfy and has a big green gator on the front that says I’m a Insta-gator! Which my hubby says I am! LOL

My favorite t-shirt is grey and says “CHARLOTTE” across the front. Wish I had one in red.

My favorite t-shirt is one I made for the 18" doll for Xmas House. It turned out so cute. It was my first t-shirt. I hope who ever received it for Xmas loved it.

My favorite T-shirt is one purchased in Maui that has a beautiful Hawaiian sunset printed on it with a saying in Hawaiian that is about strangers becoming family.
